The menu says screen recording is not allowed

Open System Settings, Privacy & Security, Screen Recording, enable Noru, and relaunch it if macOS asks. Noru fails before creating a handoff when the grant is absent.

The agent says perception is paused

Choose Resume Agent Perception from Noru's menu. A paused request creates no new bundle and never returns an older capture as current.

The agent does not see Noru

Choose Check & Repair Agent Connection... and read the result. Reload the coding agent after a successful repair. Cursor and VS Code also need the one-time global routing rule inCursor and VS Code rules for reliable automatic calls.

No acknowledgement panel appeared

The observation fails closed. Noru deletes the new bundle rather than silently making a screenshot available. Relaunch the app and confirm the menu reports Agent perception and Visible acknowledgement as ready.

The shortcut is unavailable

Another app has registered Command Shift 9. This does not disable normal agent-requested perception. Quit or reconfigure the conflicting app only if you want the optional manual fallback.

Frontmost window is unavailable

Isolated frontmost-window perception is Free but requires a running Noru app and a normal native application window foremost. The target is live-only: history never stands in for a focused window and Noru never substitutes the whole display. Bring a normal application window forward and try again.

OCR text is absent

The screenshot can still be valid. Vision may have found no legible text or reached the bounded timeout. Ask the agent to inspect the image itself.
